That cats only use the word meow when conversing with people. I feel special when my cats trill or use sounds other than the typical meow.
The picture of Siam is just a bit lighter than my 13 year old Tulei. The morning after our tornado he slipped out the front door and, in the confusion, was left out most of the day. When I went out to sit on the front porch up popped his head from a pile of fallen trees and he howled! He was the most frightened he'd ever been in his life, and hasn't tried to go outside in the seven years since.
But Tulei knows when my blood clotted legs are going to give me fits, even before I do. He snuggles up to me as tight as he can and purrs extra loud. Unlike the one trick he knows (shaking hands) that can't be taught.
We got One Eyed Willie from the Humane Society. Though his picture was in the paper for a week, we were the only people who wanted him. Willie greets every person who comes to our home and learned to earn his treats by bumping his head against my shoulder. He snores, probably from the surgery to remove his eye. And he starts each day in my lap getting combed. Sometimes he turns and pats my face with his paw. Every night Willie sniffs noses with Molly, our Lab. Our little dog, Abby, is scared of Willie.
Am I a crazy cat lady? I'm crazy ABOUT my cats, AND my dogs, my children, my grandchildren. There's no question but that I love my husband the most, followed by the other people in my life.
But isn't it funny that I'M the center of my cats' universe? And my dogs' universe?
Yes, I'll admit, each person in the book was a little goofy. That's what made it so great.
We take our pets to Dr. Mike Johnson once a year. We meet goofy people in the waiting room, but they might think we're goofy, too.
Think about it - who would teach their cat to shake hands, except me?
This was an interesting read, but I found it cynical of humans. I think our cats give us more credit than this author does. And the advice is old and already well- known.

I loved it because of the adventure that the cray cray cat ppl take you and you will lol for this hilarious book. I picked it because i am a crazy cat lover myself. The only part was that it was not long enough for me. 8-) I am pretty happy about it though. #ILoveBooks
This book is a good read if you want something mindless to read. And I love cats, so a non-cat lover would probably hate it!
